Forget the fluff, the Gobe XC9500XL CPLD Development board is a simple CPLD, with an over 85% efficient power regulator, a 48MHz 50ppm Oscillator, and access to 32 IO pins. The 2, 2mm headers give access to IO pins, input power, and +3.3V output. This development board is perfect to provide glue-logic to small applications, or to learn a HDL like VHDL or Verilog. The Gobe board is perfect for developing circuits where the non-volatile logic from that of a CPLD is the best fit. The Gobe board is meant for small projects and applications where a relatively simple logic solution is desired. One of the key advantages to CPLD's is non-volatile nature of the logic, which is ready on power-up as opposed to an FPGA which must configure it's logic from an external source. The Gobe board can be programmed using the Xilinx ISE tool iMPACT TM, with any 6-Pin Female Programming JTAG cable. As with all Xilinx products the GOBE CPLD Development board can be programmed in VHDL or Verilog.
